This Privacy Policy explains how Neighbor to Neighbor Inc. (N2N,” we,” or us) collects, uses, and discloses information about you. This Privacy Policy applies when you use our website and services that link to this Privacy Policy, contact our offices, engage with us on social media, or otherwise interact with us.

We may update this privacy policy periodically. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our website or providing you with a notification). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.

What we Collect:

We collect personal information about people who contact us, initiate a case with us, or are named as related parties to a case opened with us.

The types of personal information we collect are: names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, and physical addresses. Sometimes other personal and demographic information may be collected for grant reporting, but that information is only collected with your explicit consent and if you share it with us directly.

How we collect your data:

The only data collection tools we use are:

-recording the phone number or email you initiate contact with us from;

-information you or other parties in a case you are involved in give us directly;

-information shared with us as part of a referral by another agency or third-party; and

-contact information that is be publicly available on the internet (e.g. a phone number for a property management company that is listed on their website).

Use of Information:

We use information we collect to communicate with you about the services you are receiving from us and to provide updates about events, trainings, and other activities we have going on. You will not be added to our regular mailing lists unless you subscribe directly, take a training offered by us, or volunteer with us.

When we share your data:

We have strict confidentiality policies about all communications we have regarding mediation and facilitation cases. These policies are further explained to you if you communicate with us regarding those services.

We will not share your personal information with third-parties unless we are sharing information in accordance with the Federal and/or Oregon State Laws that govern the mediation and facilitation services we provide and one of the following is true:

  • -you give us explicit permission to share particular information (e.g. for help developing a case you open with us; referring you to another Dispute Resolution Center that serves your geographic region; etc.);
  • -the program you are receiving our services for involves partnerships with other organizations we need to share particular information with (e.g. reporting outcomes of mediation for Small Claims Court, conferences in the Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Program, etc.); or
  • -we are otherwise compelled by law.

How to request your data be deleted:
