Board of Directors
Jim is a Salem City Council Member (Ward 8) and the retired
Executive Director of the Salem Association of Realtors. Prior to that
he spent 30 years in the Title and Escrow industry in Oregon.
Jim joined the Board in May of 2010.
Sara is a family law attorney and a court appointed mediator for Marion County in
domestic relations cases involving custody and parenting time dispute. She is also a
volunteer for Marion County CASA. Sara lives in Turner with her husband and two children.
Mike has worked in human resources and labor relations
for 25 years. He started volunteering as a mediator for
Neighbor-to-Neighbor in 1996, and joined the Board in 2011.
Tacha is a seasoned foreclosure mediator conducting
mediations in Oregon, Washington, and Nevada and is
currently a regulator for the State of Oregon Appraisal Board.
Prior to that she spent 27 years in the Title Insurance and 1031
tax deferred exchange industry.
Lynn is a retired school counselor who has mediated for
Neighbor-to-Neighbor since 1996. She has also served terms
on the Board of Directors twice in past years. Lynn has been a
Board Member since September 2006.
Former labor union activist, 30 year Human ResourcesExecutive,
and retired Executive Director for Neighbor-to-Neighbor, Inc.
Heather is a strong, proficient leader with extensive non-profit experience
proven management skills, strategic vision, operational implementation
and effective follow-through in diverse challenges. She has pioneered several
non-profits, serves as a chaplain and is passionate about her community.
She is mother of five and grandmother to four. In her spare time she enjoys
serving homeless and people in need as well as reading, enjoying music and dance.
Casandra has been a trained mediator since 2017 and joined Neighbor-to-Neighbor
staff in 2020. She loves facilitating dialogue within her community and helping to
make these resources available to everyone who needs them.
Carole Shelton joined Neighbor-To-Neighbor in September 2018. She
has an extensive professional background in administrative roles, experience
in nonprofit organizations and enjoys helping others. She is the mother of four
children and is an award-winning children’s book author.
